For most players, the existence of Chase Uniques feels almost nonexistent, rendering the "chase" aspect largely meaningless. Only a select few players have been fortunate enough to acquire this super rare Unique item. Unlike the rarest items in Path of Exile, such as The Grandfather, Diablo fans can only hope to obtain it through intended gameplay. The extremely low drop rate, combined with the Helltide incident on July 6, highlighted the growing dissatisfaction within the community regarding the direction of Chase Uniques in Diablo 4. Unfortunately, this meant that Reddit user Thestudliestpancake missed out on taking advantage of the glitch. As a result, many American players suddenly acquired Harlequin Crests, leading Blizzard to quickly disable Chase Unique drops indefinitely in Diablo 4. This was a significant drop rate considering that Diablo 4 classes like Barbarian or Sorcerer had no other Unique Helms in their loot pools aside from the Chase Unique.
With Patch 1.0.4 changing Helltide Chests, some players had a 0.5% chance to obtain the Harlequin Crest. Diablo 4 features six highly sought-after Chase Uniques that have an exceptionally low drop rate, and before the incident on July 6, only a limited number of these items were known to exist worldwide. However, it is worth noting that not all Uniques possess the same level of power, despite all Legendary Aspects falling within a similar range. The primary change highlighted in the patch notes was the inclusion of Unique items in the loot drops from Helltide Chests. In an effort to bridge the gap between Helltides and Nightmare Dungeons, Diablo 4 introduced Patch 1.0.4. While Nightmare Dungeons have proven to be a reliable method for obtaining powerful items, Helltide Chests have trailed behind in terms of rewards. In terms of Diablo 4's endgame, characters typically have two choices: Nightmare Dungeons or Helltides. Surprisingly, a dedicated player who had spent hundreds of hours failed to capitalize on the opportunity presented by the July 6 incident involving Helltides. In its first month since release, Diablo 4 has encountered some peculiar glitches and bugs.
